Why Consider the Stress-Free Living method?

Work related stress… is a major cause for concern and challenge not only because of the health effects on individual workers, but also because of the cost or economic impact on businesses and the social cost to European countries.

Stress can lead to job dissatisfaction, absenteeism, intent to leave and voluntary redundancy. Stress in the workplace can be contagious, putting pressure on work colleagues, souring relationships and work atmosphere. The financial costs are clear: costly mistakes, underperformance on the job, absenteeism, grievances, accidents… How often are you in a state of stress? How about your colleagues and co-workers? Would you even recognise it if you were stressing… or has it become the norm?

Did you know that stress:

  • Impairs judgment and decision-making
  • Limits ability to access one’s resources
  • Can ruin any performance (including: presenting, learning, selling, leading, managing, thinking, communicating, driving, negotiating, etc.)
  • Affects our ability to plan for the long term

  • Lowers a body’s immune system = increasing susceptibility to any virus or ‘bug’ you come in contact with
  • Slows down circulation = cold hands and feet and temperature fluctuations
  • Causes the lymphatic system to slow down and toxins to build = headaches and migraines, fatigue, loss of concentration and memory
  • Causes blood pressure to rise or fall = high/low blood pressure
  • Slows digestion = indigestion and heartburn

How Does It Work?

The Stress-Free Living™ method provides you with knowledge that will free you from being at the mercy of your states (not only stress, but any state at all - fear, guilt, anger, sadness, apathy, anxiety, etc.), and the application of the techniques will put you in control. There are four simple steps that anyone who can learn can learn:

  • Understand that stress is a state (of being)
  • Discover for yourself that states are (not the result of external stimuli but are) caused by the way you process and interpret external stimuli
  • Realise, therefore, that you can control your state by learning how to control the way you process and interpret external stimuli in a way that is useful
  • Then learn how to do it and apply the method!

What If You Use It?

If there was one ability successful people all over the world had in common, what do you suppose it would be? Before you answer that – or read the answer that follows, let’s clarify ‘successful’. We mean holistically – happy, healthy people enjoying life and work as they consistently achieve their specific and desired outcomes. What do they have in common, these rare specimens?

The ability to control their states (of being). Consider this for a moment: Your Outcomes are determined by your Performance, which is determined by your Behaviour… and that’s determined by your State!
